Capsule Wardrobe: Special Occasions
We are heading into those couple of months where we seemingly need a new outfit every weekend. From Halloween parties, to work holiday events, to family gatherings. It’s a busy time in which an everyday capsule wardrobe just doesn’t seem rise to the occasion. At least for me.
I used to include one or two sparkly pieces that could be worn to special events in my winter capsule wardrobe, but over time it just didn’t feel right. The pieces would be hanging in my closet and every time I’d see them, I’d wonder whether I was being social enough, and then when I did have an event to wear one of these special pieces to, I’d feel tired of it somehow. So I changed up my strategy, instead of trying to make my capsule wardrobe work for everything, I split it into a “core wardrobe” plus multiple “mini capsule wardrobes.”
In this post I’ll be walking you through my “mini capsule wardrobe” for special occasions as well as how I deal with “themed” special occasions (you know, the ones where you have to show up wearing something you’re not likely to wear or use again).
Refine Behind the Scenes
I've been simplifying the process of blogging. As I move away from platform I currently host my products on (Kajabi), I also need to find a new home for my blog and newsletter. This month I will be moving all the blog posts to Substack and once that's all set up and the links are working, I'll be moving this email list over too.
Simplifying this part of my life has been a surprising amount of work, but the end is in sight and the peace of mind and time created by simplification will be worth the effort. I hope that wherever you are in your own journey, you can find the space to simplify and move forward with clarity and lightness.
As always, you can reply directly to this email with any questions or comments (and also just to say hi).
Have a wonderful month,
x Coco
